Birth Support - now booking 2027!
For expectant parents who want more than someone simply present in the room.
Labor is deeply personal, and while we can’t control every part of how it unfolds, we can be intentional about the experience and preparation surrounding it. My role is to help you understand your options, identify what matters most to you, and feel confident using your voice throughout your care.
Before birth: we’ll spend time exploring your preferences, questions, and priorities to understand the why behind your choices. Together, we’ll build a foundation that allows us to protect the parts of your experience that matter most to you, even when circumstances require us to adapt. As a Pilates instructor, I can also help you prepare your body for labor with my exclusive pregnancy-safe Pilates guide.
During labor: I offer continuous, grounded support for both you and your support person(s). That may look like movement and positioning, hands-on comfort measures, breathing and relaxation techniques, reassurance and motivation, or simply creating a calm and protected space around you. I’ll also help your partner feel confident and involved, giving them practical ways to support you without the pressure of having to know exactly what to do.
Your preferences matter.
Even when certain parts of birth are outside of our control, your voice doesn’t disappear. If a new recommendation, intervention, or decision arises, I’m there to help you stay connected to what matters to you. I can help ensure you understand what's being presented, your questions have space to be asked, your preferences remain part of the conversation, and you feel supported using your own voice.
If something about the birth itself needs to change, we’ll focus on what can still remain aligned with your wishes. The goal is to be thoughtful about what we can control so that if circumstances evolve, your experience can remain as informed, supported, and aligned with your preferences as medically possible.
